Access and agency, togetherDoes it cost anything to participate?
There is no fee for the preliminary eligibility check. Project participation terms are explained before you consent. The $200 offer is specific to eligible Odyssey contributions.
Is compensation the same for every project?
No. Compensation depends on the project. For Project Odyssey, eligible participants are offered $200 for their diagnostic journey. Before you consent, the team will confirm eligibility, required activities, completion criteria, payment method, and timing. Sending an inquiry does not enroll you or trigger payment.
What will I actually need to do?
Review the project information and consent, tell us where you received care, and help clarify your diagnostic journey when needed. Delightful or an approved collection partner handles record requests. Your project information will describe the specific activities and time commitment.
How is my privacy protected?
Direct identifiers are removed before research use, and each journey receives a study code. Collection, access, retention, and onward sharing are governed by project-specific agreements. De-identification reduces privacy risk; it does not make risk disappear.
Who can use my contribution?
Authorized project teams use the information for the purposes stated in consent. De-identified simulations, evaluation traces, and benchmark results may be shared with developers of the models evaluated. Identifiable information and raw records are not shared beyond what you expressly authorize.
Will this change my care or give me a diagnosis?
Research opportunities have project-specific activities. Odyssey evaluates models using simulations of past journeys. It is not a diagnostic service or treatment study. Research participation does not replace care from your clinician.
Will I see the findings?
Ask the team which project updates and findings will be available to participants and when. Reports may describe overall model performance rather than individual clinical conclusions.
How long does participation last?
Duration depends on the project and the records available. The team will explain expected activities and follow-up before you consent. Record retrieval can take time, especially when several providers are involved.
Can I leave or take part in other projects?
You can withdraw consent and stop further collection. Treatment of previously contributed data follows your consent agreement. Each additional project has its own eligibility and consent process.
What if I don’t qualify right now?
You can contact the team to ask about current or future opportunities. There is no guarantee of a place, and no medical records are needed for an initial inquiry.
